Hotline After Dark -- Sitting, Waiting, WishingSep. 5, 2008
VP speculation continued last night. NBC's Allen talked with Sen. Lieberman: "You want me to answer that one? Well, I don't think -- I don't think I'm going to be asked. Mike Huckabee: "I can't imagine Joe Lieberman being on the ticket. "Over the past eight to 10 years, we've averaged a million dollars of additional business through leads from the fair. It's worth it."Since the fair opened Wednesday morning, DeVries said he already had about a dozen solid leads for people wanting to install a new roof or new siding, as well as other home improvements. Fairgoers typically receive a 10 to 20 percent discount on services, making it worthwhile for homeowners looking to improve their residences to consider signing on with Zavada."When I say leads, I mean real leads, not just people stopping by and entering to win (our drawing)," he said. "These are people who really want estimates."DeVries said some businesses and services still are needed, d...
