Broward County's mature trees and lush landscaping took a direct hit from
Hurricane Wilma, and the loss of greenery has changed the look and feel of many
older neighborhoods and homes, making the age of the homes more obvious. It could also affect energy bills for homes no longer shaded by mature trees.
