Nov. 14, 2005 - IMPACT FEES

A UF planning professor says counties are implementing and raising school
impact fees because the state has not increased funding for school construction
at the rate necessary to accommodate incoming students. Twenty-three of the
state's 67 counties charge school impact fees, which builders say unfairly target
new-home buyers.
