NAR's battle to keep banks out of the real estate business may have
gotten a bit easier. Its chief opponent and head of the powerful U.S.
House of Representatives' Financial Services Committee, U.S. Rep.
Michael Oxley (R-Ohio), won't seek re-election when his term ends
at the end of 2006.
