Mile High Music Fest: Dave Matthews

The Olympics: It's International! Outside Quote of the Day... The heat stayed relatively tame (oh, 98 or so) but the crowd kept growing, swelling to an estimated 50,000 for bands ranging from breathy Colbie Caillat to the mesmerizing flamenco duo Rodrigo y Gabriela. Schedules overlapped between bands and the line-up was so good, it was hard to decide which tent to hit next. The Bullsnake stage? The Bison tent? People pushed and shoved to get inside The Roots' show while The Black Crowes drew a much more free and tie-dyed crowd, playing into the sunset. John Mayer, who almost pulled in the same sized crowd as Tom Petty, made more than one subtle suggestion that girls should take their tops off. He was unsuccessful.
