CrashSo it's Monday...nothing special happened yesterday or Saturday. I mean I did somethings but nothing that was exciting enough to write about. I finished my book...."Slightly Single" I feel like there needs to be a part two. I mean don't get me wrong it was cute and everything. Also I saw the movie, "Crash". It was amazing and powerful...I cried a lot though. I am such a sensitive mess when it comes to movies, tv or commericals. I get so emotional. But in the movie "Crash" these group of people are so linked together and they don't even know it. The movie itself had a lot to do with racism and how different types of people deal with racism and how sometimes our lives just seem to "crash" into each others...but in a crazy, messed up type way. I am so glad I saw it though. Of course I have a favorite scene in the movie. There is a spanish locksmith that comes home from work...he goes into his daughters room finds her camped out under her bed. She was scared. She tells him that she heard a gun go off. He then tells her a secret about a fairy that put a invisible cloak on him when he was her age to protect him from bullets or anything else that could hurt him. He then says he is going to give it to her. They go through the whole scene where he puts it around her and ties it tight. Later in the movie the spanish guy comes home from work and is confronted from a angry store owner that thinks he stole from him. The little girl sees her dad outside with a gun to his face. She runs outside screaming that he doesn't have the cloak on. She jumps into his arms and the guns goes off at the exact moment she is in her arms. The fathers face is like someone just took away the love his life and the pain in his eyes is unbearable. The angry store owner is in complete shock. The mother of the little girl is screaming. But in to their surprise the little girl has not a mark on her...she only whispers that she would always protect him. Later the store clerk is sitting in the store starring at the gun in amazement. He tells his daughter that an angel has saved him...he tells her that he shot a little girl but she was okay and she has saved him from losing everything. The daughter who bought the gun for her dad to protect him from robbers in the store walks over to see what kind of bullets she bought for the gun...only to find that she bought blanks. The whole movie is a amazing but that part was one that stood out in my mind. I loved the spanish dad and his little daughter. If you haven't seen it you must rent it right away. But it's another week of work and trying to keep my spirits high. Me and my friend Heather are going to go running tonight after work. I was going to see if I could talk her into going to get a margarita with me after our run...haha. I am so bad. Well work is getting busy and I have to do a vacation package for Key West..yeah! xoxo will write later! 10:34 AM - Apr. 10, 2006 - post comment
