MANSFIELD — Beijing is host to not only tumblers, swimmers and other athletes, but also a piece of artwork done by Mansfield native Jon D. Hair, official sculptor of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the 2008 U.S. After majoring in fine arts at The Ohio State University and the Columbus College of Art and Design, Hair has lived in the Charlotte, N.C., area for 28 years. He spent 20 years as an art director and creative director and eight years as a full-time sculptor. He and his wife of 32 years, Patricia, live in Cornelius, N.C.
