Another year passed by

I woke up at 2.00PM because of my pains. I took some painkillers and tried to fall asleep. I just lay in bed with closed eyes but it didnt work, then i started to count sheeps. Usually it works but this night didnt. So I got up and went into the kitchen where I made a pear juice. Thanks to Chol - it is really tasty, but i dont think it is an asian thing! I t was 3.00PM and i didnt know what to do. No wish to sleep, so i decided to go for a walk. Ther are not so many words in english that could describe how beatiful it was. The winter has finally come to russia  It was snowing, very quiet and beautiful! No cars, no people! Just me and night. I just stayed and enjoyed it. This year winter is very late here. How strange that in summer we dream about winter and in winter we are looking forward to nice warm summer days. But this year it is different. May be because of the late winter "arrival".

You know all foreigners have some stereotypes about russia. I can mention 3 most popular: bears are walking along the streets in the cities, everyone drinks vodka (much vodka), And we have the whole year winter. As for bears i have seen them only on tv, there are some of them in zoos but not in my city. Vodka. Yes, Russians drink much, but not all and not more than some other nationalities. And winter. I lasts really long. Usually we have the first snow in october - and then till the end of march it is cold. I have a birthday on the 8th of march and cant remember a year without snow on this day. But this year it is different. The first snow was on the 1st of december. But it was not for long there. During the december it  was warm and we didnt have enough snow. But now i enjoy this weather. It is warm, just 0°C, it is snowing  and it is a wonder. The right weather for Christmas but unfortunately we celebrate Christmas not this week as almost the whole world does but on the 7th of january. So first comes the new year celebration. 

I can hardly believe that another year passes by. It was a very important year for me and now it is time to sum up. This year i graduated from the univercity. Finally. Now i smile when i remember our finals and work at projects, presentations, how we were afraid that we wouldnt find a job, that it would be very difficult to adapt to new life style. But in summer when it all was so close to its finish we could hardly smile. Now many of us  have found jobs. Other got married and now are dreaming about children. I dont want children now. And i dont want to get married yet. Frankly speaking i havent been asked either and there is no candidates for such a honourable position.

So now i finish because i  have to work.  If i get time i will certainly add something.

how i miss snow...

when i was in romania we would go to the discos and stay until 3 AM then walk each other home in the snow. we were located near the carpathian mountains so u can imagine how much snow we got. everything looks so clean and pure. our love was as pure as the snow. those were such wonderful times.
