the omen

i've just watched the new omen-movie, pity but i must consider that the movie is pretty boring and i feel really disappointed. i cant believe that there was no opportunity to make the movie more scary. the original movie cant even be compared to this one.  The original Omen is such a terrific film, very convincing. I really liked the original Omen. There is nothing that this new remake has brought to this film to make it stand out against the original. It's not as scary, not as honest or raw.  this modern remake just isn't as convincing. 

it just isn't evil enough...
The only positive thing to say is that for anyone who hasn't seen the original, it's worth a look -- on DVD.

But even then I'd recommend the original.

Since i never saw the original Omen, i have nothing to compare this version to. I thought the movie was decent but agree with you that it could have been more scary. We will have to watch lots of scary movies together so that we can huddle up under a blanket and hug each other for support. :)

You know I happened to watch MI-3 & The Omen back to back with only a couple hours of boozing separating the two shows. MI-3 was okay but it's nothing in comparision to the first one in the series. Too bad I only managed to watch the first 5 minutes of The Omen since after the drinks I was out of my mind and feeling really sleepy (I haven't slept for the past 2 days), so as soon I laid myself upon the seat I dozed off pretty quickly. When I woke up thinking It was only a blink of eye, the movie was over in the next minute. Too bad...buhuhuh

So you see I amn't a position to comment anything on the new film. Though the original one was awesome. :)
