Britney Spears planning international tour in spring

Britney Spears will begin a tour next spring in support of her new album, Circus, due out Dec. 2. Sources say the tour, produced by AEG Live, will hit arenas and be international in scope. Spears last toured in 2004, grossing more than $34 million (U.S.). Alan Jackson won Songwriter/Artist of the Year honours for his hits "A Woman's Love" and "Small Town Southern Man" during the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers country awards in Nashville. Other big winners were Dave Berg, Songwriter of the Year, and Rachel Thibodeau, Country Song of the Year.Alicia Keys and Coldplay lead the nominees for the 2008 American Music Awards, to be presented in Los Angeles on Nov. 23. Keys has five nominations and Coldplay has four. The Eagles and Lil Wayne are also multiple nominees and Artist of the Year contenders.
