'Rocky Horror Picture Show' plays on Halloween

From the beginning, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" was a cult smash. Over the past 30 years, it has become participatory live theater in the extreme. It has also become a Halloween tradition in Newburyport. The Firehouse Center for the Arts will once again host the film/party on Friday, Oct. 31 at 11 p.m., complete with complimentary "prop bags" and a special "V" seating section.Just in case you've recently arrived from another galaxy and have never seen or heard about it, the movie-musical is actually a finely honed tongue-in-cheek spoof, loosely based on Frankenstein, which quotes nearly every horror film made before 1975.
