Posted on Oct. 30, 2008 at 2:46 PM - Post Comment

Last update: 12:14 p.m. EDT Oct. The extended engagement, which now includes Saturday hours, will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18. The display was originally scheduled to end on Thursday, Oct. The mock-up was built to help engineers in the design and manufacturing process for the fleet of commuter rail cars ordered by SEPTA from United Transit Systems, a consortium of Hyundai Rotem of South Korea and Sojitz Corporation of America. In addition, while the mock-up itself will not carry passengers, it plays a critical role in development of the pilot car, a working railcar that will undergo extensive testing to ensure the safest, most comfortable ride possible for SEPTA passengers.
