Sep. 24, 2005 - Rita Came A-courtin'...

See how much I love you guys...? Hurricane Rita is right outside my window and I'm wasting my time to entertain you guys on this godforaken blog...

Okay, truthfully, I'm doing this because I'm bored, but hey... who paying attention...?

The funny thing is that everyone here spent so much money on things for preparation of this hurricane because of what happened during Katrina... I mean, my mom bought 7 and a half (yes, I said half...) bottles of water... (but my friend's mom bought about 48... heh...). But right now, my mom's just snoozing away after several days of freaking out... I swear, we have had worse weather than this before... and it turned into a tropical storm around noon, so... oh well...

As for me, I really didn't give a crap about Rita... I have better things to worry about. For example, this perfectly made turkey pot pie on the table beside me that came out excellently...! (*Eh-hem*... 5 minutes in the microwave...)

And nothing dead, blown up, or drowning yet, so I can safely say we're going to make it. ^_^ (And everyone's probably thinking "Hey, Metauru! Don't you want to go out there and play in the rain, thunder, and lightning?")

Onto another subject: UTA Band Competition. Our school always goes, but never makes it past last place (gee... now I'm convinced...). But, at least we're going outside the state for this one... Louisiana's too boring...
