I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh

I Finally Did It!

I guess it’s only fitting to get down to it! WEEKEND UPDATE TO THE RESCUE!

Friday: Oh my days with Caleb are so entertaining. He came over around 7 and we hung out, watched movies, played kitty… you know the usual Caleb fun! Then we went shopping, picked up his sister and went to Mc Donald’s. It was there that it finally happened… those of you who have been following my blog for this past year you have heard about this on and off for quite sometime. Bottom line, on Friday I finally wiped his butt. Really I thought I was home free. He turned 4 and started wiping himself… boy was I wrong! We had already been in the bathroom there 2 times (in 20 minutes) and Caleb was ready for his 3^rd time through. This time he went #2 and I asked him if he was okay to wipe himself. He said yes and proceed to wipe while Jess and I waited by the sinks. After he was done he slides off the toilet (because he couldn’t touch the ground). It was obvious that he did not sufficiently wipe due to the trail of #2 he left behind. Yup so I maned up… or womaned up and did it. I have officially lost that war. Once we were done eating… and playing I dropped the kids off and headed down to the U for WU. I was really excited for this date because we actually made plans (usually we just chill and puzzle which I love but a change is always nice). I had never been bowling so that’s what we did. We found this ghetto alley literally 5 minutes away from my house and I gave it a shot. We had a lot of fun, I did decent in the first game… and I lost it my second, regardless it was a lot of fun. Then we went to IHOP and you can laugh all you want but I love it there! Go breakfast foods! After IHOP we went back to the dorms attempted to play life but instead watched a movie and… well shocker I fell asleep! I did make it home though at a decent time and slept for a few hours before having to wake up and greet the daytime all over again!

Saturday: Ah yes, because Vincent’s car was in the shop so I offered to drive him into work on Saturday morning. So that’s how I started my day. After the morning drive I went home got cleaned up and went to Metro Kidz. Everybody was doing their spring-cleaning so we didn’t have a whole lot of kids, but the ones we did have were all the really good ones. We decided that since they were all the good kids that they would all win prizes that day. After Metro Holly and I went shopping (for the million birthday parties that weekend) and then I took her home, cleaned up again, and waited for Vincent to show up. Fiber’s (Jessica’s) birthday is on Wednesday, but her family was in town this weekend to celebrate. So Vincent and I were invited to her little birthday dinner. After work he came over and got cleaned up at my house (Wiley was there to chaperone) and then we headed out to Mukilteo. Of course we got lost on the way there, despite the fact that I have been there multiple times! The party was so much fun, it was really laid back and relaxed. We played Mario Kart and though I wasn’t at my best I was a million times better than Vincent… and really isn’t that all that matters… well no cuz Dave kicked my butt and that was no good. Oh well… we left the party early and went home… cuz man we had church the next day.

Sunday: You got to love Sundays. I don’t know what went wrong really, I woke up early and got out the door early… and yet I ended up being late. Well I guess I do know what happened. I needed gas and then while I was getting gas I realized that something about my outfit wasn’t platform appropriate so I had to then turn around go home and change. It was a big ordeal and I wasn’t really having any of it. So I make it into church (late) but my crew was going strong. Trenecsia was taking the lead and everything was great! We finished mic check and moved on to prayer and then Christian Education, which was… well Christian Education. Then it was just pre-service runaround until the music started. Praise and worship was fun, the stage was all turned around and I really like the change. The word was powerful. Bishop preached on temptation and the power of God was in that message. The alter was flooded with people repenting and crying out to God. You can just tell that this is the beginning of a big thing! After church I took Sharles (that crazy little Sasquatch) to my house and we hung out for a bit before going to Catrina’s birthday party. That party was much louder than Jessica’s. It was fun, but I really didn’t have the energy for all of that. Vincent and I hung out and watched the Gospel Celebration with Javier for most of it. Then after Vincent left I hung out with the adults. I really only went down to where the music was for about 5 minutes to watch my brother compete in the dance contest finals (think Napoleon Dynamite only with more recent moves… my brother cant dance at all… he just has no shame). Needless to say my brother won… though Nic should have because he actually danced. After the party I took my full car to my house and then Annetta took that full car to her house (thank you so much that was really a relief). I was so tired I just went up stairs, changed into pjs and called Vincent. After talking (for longer than an hour I would like to point out) we hung up the phone and I went to sleep.
