I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh

New Season, New Boundaries

It is freezing in my office this morning. I’m not joking I think I’m going to get frost bite… okay maybe that’s a bit dramatic but I am really cold. Today has been pretty average thus far. My ankle has been really bothering me today. I’m not sure why because I don’t do things that would injure it… I did wear really tall boots last night. That could be it. It was probably the first time in about 4 or 5 months that I wore really high heels. It took some getting use to (especially during praise and worship).

Last night was good. Praise and worship took some work but really those who wanted something from God got it… and those who didn’t… well they watched me. We also had young adult group last night with the Kirtons. I love them so much. Elder Kirton really wants to come back to choir (I will start fasting and praying now… cuz the man is anointed)! The word was really good. They preached out of Genesis about how God gave Isaac Rebecka. It’s one of my all time favorite stories in the Bible. He related it to the mandate Bishop has given all of us financially. It was a really good word. After church I worked on a song with Minister Paul and played with the kids. Then the youth staff had a brief meeting about how the retreat (this Sunday and Monday) is going to go. I’m excited for everything that is going to take place this weekend. After the meeting I took Annetta out for dessert and Erica and Holly came with us. It was fun to just chill and eat. Annetta is truly an awesome woman of God. I feel like she is often over looked when people at church talk about the powerful young adults in SIC. Annetta is just meek (controlled power). I don’t even think she knows the power she holds inside of her. Annetta, Keep your eyes on God. Don’t bother yourself with what other people are doing. So long as their actions don’t affect your salvation it doesn’t matter. Keep in your word and continue to seek God’s face. I’m really proud of you!  

Tomorrow will be the first of my Fridays off. It will be weird not to work full time anymore. At least I know Caleb will keep me busy. Really I’m just waiting for today to be done so I can have my Friday. WU and I keep setting boundaries in our relationship to keep it strong. Our newest rule is that we will only talk on the phone for an hour a day. It’s tough but it makes our time that we do get to spend together (which is really only our Friday night dates) really special. I would encourage those of you who are in relationships to set up boundaries that will stretch you. This actually doesn’t just apply to people in relationships this can also be in your life. Set boundaries that forces you to shift your focus to God. Maybe only allow yourself 1 hour of computer time a day (ouch I know… but I had to say it); or increase your prayer time to 20 minutes instead of just random little prayers all through the day. Whatever it is I would encourage you to set some boundaries. Not because you are sinning or living in the gray but more just to make your relationship with God more special. Wow, I didn’t intend to take it there at all. In fact I didn’t even mean to talk about Vincent and my new boundary; but obviously someone needed to hear it.

I guess that’s it. The next time you hear from me it will be on Tuesday. That will probably be a long entry so be prepared. Linz

I never said that... but to be honest last season hurt my feelings so much... I'll probably only watch the audtions. Unless I fall in love with someones voice!

Since your highly intuitive heading and your rather bland counter argument was so... shall we saw elementary how about you focus on other things. For instance how come rain is wet, and was it the chicken or the egg, oh my... even better how come cookie has two o's. Now that you have something more to your liking do you feel the solace in this?
