Again I didnt spell or grammer check... have mercy.

Good morning you few and faithful… I’m just kidding! Man, that is probably the best/worst quote ever in a movie (sister act). Well here we are yet again. Another weekend has come and gone; and I am left with the great task of making my life seem interesting! Well here we go!

Friday: Friday was great! Again it was Vincent’s birthday. I did my very best to plan something special for him. But as predicted things didn’t go exactly as I had hoped. It still was fun though. Stephany went really early to save us a table (at this restaurant called Joeys) and Ramon and Lindsay came so it was just a small group but we had a good time. It wasn’t a party by any means (nor was it intended to be so) but it was fun! I got Vincent a digital camera, which was something he had really wanted. I love getting gifts for people, even if I don’t know them that well. I usually have to have someone go with me when I shop for parties’ cuz I get carried away. This time, however, I think I did just right! After the dinner we went back to his place to puzzle and wait for his family to come so they could give him their gifts. Let me just say that our puzzling skills were amazing on Friday. I can’t even tell you how good we were doing. We were on a roll. I’m sure this Friday we will just take it too that next level! Oh yeah. All you Terry Hall residents who watch us puzzle we are taking it to the next level! Well his family also came that night. I was glad that they got to have some family time. He got some nice stuff from them and Shayla made a cake. So after presents everyone just hung out and ate cake. It was good to see everyone and I’m glad they got a chance to be with Vincent on his birthday.

Saturday: Saturday was a good day. I got to sleep in and then I went to Metro Kidz. Yeah… well I don’t feel like talking about my Metro Children… so afterward I went home and relaxed. I got so relaxed in fact that I took a 4-hour nap. Now if you know me you know that I have napping issues. I am what they call (or what I call) a co-dependant napper. This pretty much means that I can’t nap unless someone is in the room with me. This time, however, I was all by myself… just napping away! It was superb! Eventually I woke up to my stomach growling and decided to make myself some dinner (this WIT thing is really growing on me huh???). So I walked over to the Albertsons and bought a steak. Yes, I made myself a steak with a little help from my friend George (George Forman). It was decent (not yet to mom status but I’ll get there… that’s why I’m practicing). That was my Saturday… it was, for the most part, lovely!

Sunday: Sunday was, as usual, the busiest day of my weekend. I woke up early for church and got there 5 minutes early. All that really means is I actually walked out the door the time that I intend to every week. I was excited to get into church because God had laid a word heavy on my heart. I wasn’t really sure who it was for: whether I was supposed to give it to my choir, the congregation, or if it was just for me. I also had a lot on my mind…

Side Note: It’s funny how sometimes you can go through your day with an issue heavy on your heart and no one will know. I don’t know what it is but I’ve been really emotional for the past few days (and it’s not THAT). God is just doing something deep inside of me and things are spilling out.

… Christian Education was good. Our mic check was awesome as well. As a worship leader there’s something about finding a group of singers who sound great together. My back up team on Sunday was amazing. Not only did they sound awesome together (Arlecier, Jonelle, and Mrs. Pitts) but also they were anointed. I knew that the music was going to play a powerful part in the service because of how great our check went. Sure enough when it came time to sing God started to move. Sometimes it takes a few warm up songs to get people in the mood to praise God (which is unfortunate but sometimes is a reality). This time people (well at least the people who were going to go all the way with their praise) entered in immediately. It was during the first song that I looked out into the congregation and saw that my mother was there. Now for those of you who don’t know my mom doesn’t go to my church. In fact she had never come to a Sunday morning before. It totally caught me off guard but it was so good to have her there! Praise and worship went on and it was really powerful! The word God gave me ended up coming out.

Side Note: See we really take being in God’s presence for granted. What is the likelihood that you will ever met president Bush? What are the odds that you will get a personal meeting with the Queen of England? Seriously. How likely is it? There is a slim chance that you will ever get to stand in the presence of earthly royalty; and yet the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will open up His throne room and allow you to walk in (so long as your heart is pure) whenever you want. In fact the only prerequisite to coming into the throne room is that your heart and motives are pure (and for that all you need to do is ask). A lot of times as Christians we take for granted praise and worship. We get an opportunity to sing to the creator of the universe. That is by far the greatest audience you could ever have. He is so powerful, so magnificent; and we are blessed with the opportunity to entertain Him. However, a lot of the time we just see praise and worship as a time filler in a program. Choir rehearsal just a part of our weekly routine. We forget that we are practicing for our greatest performance. So whether you sing on a worship team, in a choir, or just worship God on your own time. I urge you don’t take it for granted. Don’t just sing because it’s what you should do, or because it’s in your job description. Sing before the Lord with reverence.  Realizing that He is the greatest audience in the universe. I could go on and on; and if you want to talk to me about it I’d love to. This is the only topic that I will never get sick of. Bottom line, from now on every time I grab a mic I will do so with the understanding that my God is so good that He would allow me to sing for Him.

… Back to my Sunday part I. Church was awesome as usual. Bishop has been preaching on “Being a Passionate Giver”. I love when he preaches about money, mostly because the majority of pastors are too scared to. Not my Bishop! I love that guy! After church I went home and hung out with Rillo. We rested (she napped I rested) and then we went to the store to make muddy buddies for Leading Ladies (I know I’ve become so domestic out of nowhere). After we made muddy buddies we went and brought a movie and a bag of treats to WU and set off for the service. Leading Ladies was awesome. Jess (or Fiber) preached and did fantastic. I love her. She is truly my best girl friend ever! She was just herself last night and she had me cracking up! After she preached Michael and I goofed around playing a way too slow version of You Are Good… that kid cracks me up….

Side Note: Our pastors got a new house! I’m excited for them because they got exactly what they wanted. They really deserve the best!

…Back to my Sunday part II. Then after service I had a great talk with Pastor Lynn Felice. I love that woman so much. She has such a gentle heart. She was also one of the first women in my church to reach out to me (I was 16 at the time). We had a great talk and she imparted a lot into me. Then I offered to watch her children on Fridays (because my dad had to cut back my hours). Since Jessica is in Kindergarten I wont have to pick her up until 3 but I have Caleb (the Wipe My Butt kid) all day. I’m excited to play with him (he is by far the funniest, cutest, craziest little Sasquatch I’ve ever met) and really exited to sow into this amazing couple. That was pretty much my Sunday!

Which brings me to today. Today is far from a cute day… and that’s really to say the least. I decided last night that I wouldn’t need to wash my hair in the morning; and that it would be nice to have an extra 30 minutes of sleep. Well truth be told I didn’t need to wash my hair, but because I just really wanted to sleep I didn’t give myself time to style it at all. So here I am at work with my hair in a ponytail and all clipped back. I have no bangs down, no nothing. I look like I’m in jr. high (no offence to my young readers). As you all know, I can handle not looking great everyday. It’s just one of those days that you hope you don’t run into someone you haven’t see in forever. Cuz you just know they will talk to all their friends about how you just let yourself go. Do I care? Not really, but I wouldn’t wish it on myself.

Well it’s become quite apparent that I am painfully bored. Yet, I have nothing left to say. Here’s to hoping I find something meaningful to do with the next 5 hours of my workday. Linz

PS: Hypothetically speaking lets say a couple gets two dogs. A cute little Yorkie and a big black Mutt. Lets say that they love these two dogs and want to give them great names. Hypothetically wouldn’t it be awesome if the Mutt’s name was Bentley and the Yorkie’s name was Tank? Discuss.

I Care...

... I really do. Dont you know if you love someone you can show it by loving what they love. I have found a way to love a Yorkie (which is a big strech for me). The least you can do is let me name him (or her). Plus you know you love Tank and Bentley!

Isn't it ironic?

(Remeber the song?) I think that it's funny after Lindsey dragging her feet on the Yorkie; that the Yorkie's name goes first! Hmmm, maybe she doth protest too much.

You're Sunday service was great, I really enjoyed it and recieved some word that truely spoke to me. I heard I missed a great service at my church, so was glad brothers and sisters were touched in both places.

Lindsey, please pass on to the Hampton's and your many firends at SIC how incrediably welcomed I always feel when there. Everyone just loves ya up! I just wish Anetta would let me adopt her.

Again, Happy Birthday Vincent...you looked so much older on Sunday:)
