I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh

I Didnt Even Spell Check This One!

There are many pros and cons to having a really expensive, really nice flat iron. The pros are obvious: your hair is done faster, the tool actually lasts longer, and to be honest it’s actually better for your hair. The one major draw back however is that if you burn yourself… you’ve really burnt yourself. So yeah this morning I was doing my hair and talking to Miss. Rillo when I accidentally snapped the stinkin thing on my ear. Now it’s nearly 3 hours later and my ear still burns! Yeah, so that was totally random! Here comes the weekend update!

Friday: Yay date night! After work I went home cleaned up and headed for the UW. Now I rarely drive on dates Vincent usually picks me up and by the time we get everything going there is minimal traffic. However, Vincent was on duty this past Friday so I had to come to him. I honestly sat in traffic for 30-45 minutes. Not only that but it was pointless traffic. There was no rain, no snow, no cops, no accidents, nothing! Just cars… driving really, really slow! So I eventually get there (about 45 minutes later then I had intended). Well, I finally get there (with food and DVDs) and I meet some of the other RAs then we head up to eat. It took us awhile to get the DVD to work but eventually we worked it out. So we sat down ate and watched Homeward Bound (oh yeah we brought it all the way back). After that movie we popped in The Emperors New Groove and worked on our puzzle.

Side Note: For those of you who prayed for my puzzling skills I am eternally grateful! I’ll have you know that I did a decent job last night. I didn’t do amazing; but I definitely did better than 5 pieces.

Now I’m sure that this date sounds absolutely boring. Let me assure you that any time with my WU (even if it’s just puzzling and watching kid movies) is nothing less than entertaining. Let me just say that the date was Squidamadoo!

Saturday: I slept in a bit, which was absolutely amazing. Then I got up and got ready for Metro Kidz. It was awesome! The kids were actually pretty well behaved. Then after Metro I went home and cleaned up and waited for WU. He came and picked me up and before we went to Cheryl’s (a friend of mine) Christmas party we went and picked up some supplies for our toy giveaway on Sunday. Let me just tell you Wal-Mart on a Saturday night a week from Christmas is a nightmare. Moving on…  after Wal-Mart we went to Cheryl’s party we couldn’t stay long (the food was awesome though) because of our long day on Sunday. It was great to see her and her husband though.

Sunday: Was real busy! We had our big Christmas toy giveaway and God totally moved! In the AM the church was completely packed. Kids received bikes and toys and some parents received money. All that is well and good but the best part was the alter call. The front was so flooded people had to go on stage. God moved powerfully during that first service. After we had finished with our after church run around Vincent and I went out to lunch. Then it was back to the church to put up some kid friendly decorations. Then it was time for the PM service. Rillo and Vincent led most of it. We all had a good time and a great group of people got saved that service too. God is so good. After we cleaned up and got everything all squared away Vincent and I went out for food (again I know we were hungry). It was funny because we were so tired and both of our voices were gone… so we pretty much just sat there. I still had fun though… I guess it was fun… it was more just “family time”. Then we said goodbye and I went home.

Well today has been interesting. I’ve been in and out of the office all day. In fact I started this blog at 11:00 and it’s now 3:47. So… yeah it’s been busy. My ear doesn’t burn anymore… just incase you were wondering. Well that’s it for today. I guess I’ll just… “see” you tomorrow??? Linz

Pretty Bad

I have also burnt my ear with a professional grade flattening iron. Ouch with a capital OU.

I have also gone to Wal-Mart the week before Christmas (in fact it was today) and almost didn't make it out alive. The Wal-Monster had me by the heel. But Wal-Mart can't really kill you so I made it out.

I'm sorry
