Good morning! Well… this weekend has been quite eventful! I guess today is the day to do a big weekend update… are you ready?

Friday: I got off work early, which was nice. I had to get some thing done before the Leading Ladies retreat so I did the whole run around thing. Then I went home, chilled, and packed. Before I went to the hotel I decided that I was going to go and buy another flat iron… I know I just kill them. While wandering the mall I was proud that I wasn’t too tempted to buy anything new! I went to Trade Secret and found their flat iron selection. I decided that I was sick of getting the $50 ones cuz obviously they just don’t like me. So I decided to make an investment… it kinda hurt but it has a warrantee! So now I have an expensive flat iron! I’m sure you were dying to read that! I then immediately went to the hotel and checked in. Of course I was one of the first people there so I put all my stuff in my room and helped Brock set up the sound equipment. LaTamla also taught me how to put a drum set together! I was quite proud of myself. Service kinda snuck up on all of us. I got there at 5:00 and two hours just flew by! I have to take a moment and say that I am so proud of my choir. I had at least 15 singers there and they just tore up! They are so faithful and so anointed; I was so humbled by their faithfulness this weekend! Service was amazing. Mrs. Kirton preached about maturity and believing God for yourself. Her word was so powerful and the fruit of all of that was evident. I played piano for alter call and people just kneeled and cried at the alter until they got something from God. I played for at least an hour while people just got themselves right with God. I could help but laugh at myself though. I didn’t have my book so I would just play the same 3 slow songs I had memorized over and over again. Hopefully not too many people noticed… you gotta love the key of C. After service I went to Applebees with some of my choir members. It was good to fellowship with people that I don’t normally hang out with. After Applebees I went back to my room and got ready for bed. I was rooming with Dayo (an amazing singer who ministers with Minster Paul) and Pastor Lyn Felice. Pastor Calvin decided to surprise Pastor Lyn Felice with a big bouquet of roses and candy and rose pedals on her bed. It was sweet to see how much he cared about her. Plus it made our room smell amazing! I didn’t get to sleep until about 1:30ish. That wasn’t the wisest idea ever simply because I had to preach and lead worship the next day… but it woman’s retreat what are you gonna do?

Saturday: I woke up early and went down to the sanctuary for sunrise prayer (5:30am). It was powerful. God moved so much in me during that time. He gave me more things His people needed to hear and just really gave me peace about speaking. After prayer I decided I was going to run home to grab a jacket, hoodie, tennis shoes and just have a chance to seek God without interruption. Yeah right. I opened the door to my condo to see my entire kitchen, living room, hallway and sitting room clothed in toilet paper, tin foil and plastic wrap. I had no doubt in my mind who committed the crime. And the note they left confirmed it was my brother, Mr. Me and some others. I decided that I would get all the stuff I came for ready before I cleaned up the mess. So I dropped to my knees and arm crawled to my room. I grabbed everything I needed and then proceeded to clean up the mess. 45 minutes and 5 trash bags later I was finished. All I have to say to the gentleman (and my mother who gave them the key) is Deuteronomy 32:35! Go to the word of the Lord to discover what’s in store for you. Anyway… so after I cleaned up my big ole mess (well it’s more like their big ole mess) I went to Albertson to pick up some snacks and went back to the hotel. The morning service was really good. Jessica spoke about serving and she was cracking me up. She called our old boss an “Evil Master”. She just had me rolling all morning. God also moved when I got the opportunity to speak. Then Pastor Julia came up and just talked to us all a bit. It was good and my mom got to come and see it, which was really important to me. Then I pretty much worked for 6 hours straight. Setting things up, buying things, or simply getting my hair and makeup done (and yes that takes work!). It was exciting when 7 rolled around and we all got to chill in our dresses! Chill is defiantly the proper word for it too cuz I was cold! I try with the formal things really I do… but when it comes down to it I just don’t have anything to keep me warm when I wear stuff like that. The night was fun though and everyone looked amazing. I sat at table 1 (go table 1) and everyone was late. So I just mingled with the women who were on time! After the night was over I went upstairs to changed out of my dress and came right back down to help take everything out! It was a lot of work but someone had to do it! Overall the night/weekend was a success; we all had a good time and got something from God.

Sunday: Ah… Sunday morning. Why, God, why did everything have to catch up with me on Sunday morning? I was so exhausted. My voice was gone (cuz I didn’t have enough sleep or water all weekend) and my body was fatigued. I still woke up early prayed and got all cleaned up for church. My clothes weren’t fitting (at all) so I had to go home and find something else to wear. It was a miracle that I got to the church on time! We were all running a bit late but we worked it out. By the time Christian Education started we were all set and ready to work. Praise and worship was so powerful. God was moving and… well it just rocked. After we sang for offering Bishop called me up and honored me in front of the church. It was funny cuz I didn’t really do anything that deserved that… but I love my Bishop! He always goes out of his way to let people know that he sees them and appreciates them! I didn’t get home until about 5:30 because the choir and I ministered at another church right after service (that too was powerful). When I finally got home I just chilled and talked on the phone. It was a good conversation till the end.

Side Note: It is very rare for someone to talk me out of something… even if it’s stupid. After my phone conversation I felt so… defeated. My ego is still a bit bruised... I’m sure I deserved it though, maybe a little bit. Everyone has to know what it's like to lose. I have never really experienced that. And you, well I guess everyone needs a taste of victory once in a while. Well just so you know my Brad is now nailed to the wall. Only he is nailed backwards. How does that make you feel? What does that mean? Don’t think you’ll get a point for a good response either. I wont let you pull ahead!

Monday: Have you ever had one of those mornings where you convince yourself that you can totally get ready in 5 minutes? This may be a bit different for guys (or girls who don’t have to have hair and makeup done for work) but yeah… it’s possible yet hard to accomplish. I don’t know what I was thinking this morning but I only gave myself 5 minutes. I look good… but that’s only been by the grace of God. Today has been relaxing enough I guess. Well there’s your blog entry. For as action packed as this past weekend has been I’m sure this entry was kinda a let down. To be honest I don’t really care. I’m tired and this was the best entry I could do on so little sleep. I hope your weekend was as good as mine! Linz

Dear Ms. Taylor,
How was your weekend? I hope you had a great time at the retreat and all went well...wait what was that....say it again...(aghast)SOMEBODY BROKE INTO YOUR HOUSE? Oh man they had toilet paper, saran wrap, and foil? So if I read your title correctly everyone else got flowers, but someone took the time to decorate your living quarters. Not only did this person take his precious time to make sure it was done correctly, he had help. On top of all of that he took pictures so that the memory would live on forever. See it might just be me but if someone cared that much to do something so intricate I would feel special. How many people can leave the retreat with such a powerful testimony? Well Ms. Taylor after reading your blog there seems to be an issue with receiving so here is a scripture for you James 1:17, take it the first time. Moving on to the issue of Brad in your house, either (pronounced eye-ther) way it is a type. See with him facing the wall he sees what you can not and all you can do is align yourself behind him and follow. Having said all of that I hope you have a great day!

Mr. Me

P.S. The score is 3.5(me) 3 (you). 1) Blog reading 2) .5 from Mom 3) House decorating 4) Brad typology. Looks like your behind sweetie :(

Shoot Calling

1:22 PM, Oct. 24, 2005 .. Posted by CareFree
Okay Mr. Me. My question is how do you always manage to read and comment on a blog before I do? Don't you have better things to do like work or school, a life would help? Now try that for a size! My other question is who is calling all the shoots anyway? You, I believe, missed a couple of points, Ms. Taylor if I am wrong please correct me. Thank God I can handle that... Mr. Me you seem interesting, but Lindsay has nor experience in this I think, again correct me if I am wrong.

P.S. Careful with those pictures you may never know where they might pop up next...

Issues

I know, I know I have spelling issues. I meant to say shot calling and any where you see shoot it is really shot or shots.

Huh...

The score is 3-3 outside parties can not give points. I have nothing else to say cuz I'm a little too fired up.

Alibi

3:49 PM, Oct. 24, 2005 .. Posted by The Rippa
Just to let you know, I was in Burlington all day Saturday. I had no part in the vandalism of your apartment. I was not one of the helpers. So when wrath is given, aim it the other way.

I was not contacted about this ingenious plan. Had I been, I would have helped, but I was not. Me and Mr. Me are going to have to have a conversation about this lack of communication.

P.S. Carefree, I feel I must once again remind you that the correct term is "Try that on for size." You now stand corrected. Goodbye.

What alibi?

Rippa, before you go making up lies to avoid Lindsey's wrath you should get your facts straight. So what if you were out of town on Saturday? The "vandalism" occured Friday night. I know you're frightened of the consequences of your actions, perhaps you should have thought of that Friday afternoon when you asked me for the key! I know too much to stay silent!
You should be scared, very scared.

FYI

Brad?

You've turned him away from you? But he's like the house watch dog! If Brad hadn't been turned away maybe your house wouldn't have been defiled! ...and if Brad was turned foreward then he knew what you were thinking and he did nothing just to spite you. It's break up revenge.

Army
