I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh | |
The Busiest Weekend Ever! Wow! What a weekend… I was so busy… I’m still busy. But not too busy to write to all my adoring fans… I know you were waiting with bated breath for my next post. So for all you crazy stalker blog reading fans… here you go. Friday: I didn’t post on Friday because… I was kinda sick… well here’s the story: I went to the dentist to get my bridge temporarily/permanently fixed. Well they were putting in a temp while they are preparing the permanent tooth. Well they had to shoot me up with Novocain and I got the gas too (that I was excited for… I love the dentist drugs). Well they didn’t give me enough Novocain and halfway through them slicing my bottom teeth in half I screamed… so they shot me with more drugs. All this time the Nitrous Oxide is still keeping me comfortably high. Well two hours into the procedure my body decided that it had had enough of the Nitrous and… well needless to say my bagel and coffee I had that morning found its way out of my stomach and on to me and my dentist… yes… I threw up on my dentist. So lets play up side down side. Up side: my dentist has new clothes for occasions such as this and I received a new outfit… FROM MY DENTIST! She also gave me so bath stuff and other good stuff like that. She also dry-cleaned my clothes. Down side: well I threw up on my dentist… I think that’s a big enough down side don’t you? Later that night I helped at the Godworks night out. It was fun, my mouth was killing me but I made it through. Aysia and Sharles sang on the worship team and were just adorable… they blessed me. Needless to say my Friday was pretty crazy. Saturday: My Birthday Party Day! I woke up and went shopping with Julie. She got me a beautifully expensive ring that I love. And we also went to Qdoba (I’ve been cutting back so it was a treat). Then I met up with Steph and we got stuff for the party favors. Then we went to her house and did other party preparations. Then we went to my office and made the CDs for the roller-skating. Which caused us to be late… to our own party. But we made it and the roller-skating was off the hook. There were a lot of great falls, which always makes things like that fun. Then we went to the Carlile’s and things got really loud. My church friends are so rowdy. I love them and I had fun but it was interesting to see my church friends and non-church friends together. I found that at that part of the party I had a tendency to go outside with the adults rather then watching the dance off in the living room. But everyone had fun and that’s what matters. My brother and I sang songs (he also shoved birthday cake in my face). Over all it was fun but defiantly my last self-thrown birthday party. Sunday: Sunday was off the hook. I just knew that God was going to move the second I walked in the building. I was praying in the sanctuary and God just was there. I even told my roommate that I felt something in the atmosphere; I knew He was up to His old tricks. We got through worship and nothing amazing had happened yet. I was bummed I thought my God-dar was off or something. The sermon was great (Bishop has been preaching on faith… in fact the title was “Activating Your Faith Pt5 Vol 2) but God still didn’t do what I thought he was going to do. Then we went up to sing for alter call and God hit! I think like… 15 people to saved and 5 received the Holy Ghost. All of a sudden someone whispers in my ear that Pastor Julia wanted us to start singing “Again I Say Rejoice” and so we did. Then all the kids run up on the stage and the entire church was just dancing and singing. Then we broke into an old school shout service (straight up shouting like from the Grady days Mel). AnnaMaria led and I got the kids pumped up. It was powerful… my God… He’s just so good. Our church needed that push. Then I went and exchanged some birthday presents for the correct sizes and ate. Then it was back to church for leading ladies (insert heavy sigh here). I totally did not want to be there. I was spent and all just wanted a home cooked meal and nap with Jess. But I went anyway. I had Katie lead worship because I was spent and I ended up armor bearing for Pastor LaTonya. Let’s just put this out there… I am the worst armor bearer ever; I lost her so many times… I just… it’s not my calling but I did my best. Then we watched Medea… so funny. But I nearly feel asleep so I left early and went to bed shortly after I got home. Well that was my weekend. I hope you all are well. You should post… it will make me happy. Linz Leave a Comment ..
