Senate

Recently I went to the senate this week to except an award. I was extremly surprised when the president of the state senate introduced a rev. to give the opening prayer. I am so, so sorry, but isnt there a little thing called seperation of church and state. I thought that we were suppose to not say these prayers in government, so that everyone is allowed to participate without having to say something that is against their believes. This is the same reason that i do not say the pledge of alligence. I believe that a person should be able to say the pledge without having to pledge alligence to something that they might or might not believe in. I respect everyone's believes, but we cannot only respect the Christian Jewish faith, we have to take into account the Muslims, Hinu's, Buddhist, Wiccans, or what ever a person believes. We cannot exclude these people. The founding fathers were not religous, i believe the only one that was, was Jefferson. Other than that, they were all pretty much agnostic. That is why they placed seperation of church and state, that and to be sepereate from england which they are the same entity.

When i went to england though i specifically asked an M.P. how do they seperate the two. They people just have respect for everyone else,and do not bring God into arguements so as to not offend anyone. Why can't we do that?

body image

I recently went shopping for swimsuits, which for a person who is a size 5-6 shouldnt be a problem, but it is. I have a horrible body image, there is no getting around it, my legs are the good part of my body, and my arms are just digusting. I have fat deposits in between my arms and breasts. I have never been able to get rid of them. I know that they are gross, just like the rest of my upper body, but i try to cover them. I dont wear tank tops, the only time they are visible is in bathing suits. Yet i feel disgusting, that every guy i think is cute is going to look at me and be immedatly turned off. But i have tried, most likely futile, to reduce these fat pockets. Hopefully they will go down and i will not feel this way anymore. We I still will but it will be about my stomach. My hips are slender but stomach is not. Thats why i am a size 5-6, my hips have no fat, its all right about my pant line. What can you do, i am watching my food intake and am trying to work out more. But my medications do make me keep weight on, so it is all about balance and what i think to be the right weight, not anyone else.  I can tell you though i will not stop until i lose those fat pockets near my arms. They need to go away soon, and hoepfully my workouts will do that.

what now

i have depression and not afraid to tell anyone this. it is nothing to be ashamed up. It is a chemical imbalance and the only thing that i can do to help is take my meds. It is not the devil enhabiting my soul as some have told me, or memories that my soul have had in the pass which the only way to get rid of depression is to hook myslef up to electrods. All of this is just ********, i have depression because my pain has a chemical imbalance that has never been capable of knowing why. I need people to understand this, not tell it is al in my head, becuase it really does excist and it really is hard for me to get over it and be "happy" as usual.

Halo

I am a gamer and am very proud to be that. Yet everytime that i tell someone this, they look at me and go you are a girl, you cant play video games. That is just plan false that all girls are incapable of playing of video games. The fact that everyday i am playing halo and really beating the living **** out of boys and i get no respect for that. I have to do everything to get it, but be it today or tomorrow i will not get those stupid boys to get it through their thick heads, that just because i have a vagina doesnt mean i cant pla video games.

take 2 on my opinion

Before anyone reads this I want to make myself clean, I do not in any way, shape or form believe in their lifestyle, I think it is deplorable, but they have a constitutional right to live the way they want, so who am I to stop them.

In this society there are a common misconception that has begun to happen about people and their personal characteristics. It seems to be that if a person has a different perspective on the earth and religion and takes this to be a way to live their life, that they must be brainwashed by a sadistic leader. Yet even when these people said that they are happy, healthy, and living where they wish, the government believes that they must implore their own ideals on the people of that group. I have seen this time and time again, on the news with the sights of government agents raiding a compound where men, women, and children live. So long as they are not harming anyone else they what does it matter to the government, and how is it constitutional for them interrupting their lives. This still is America, right, I still have my civil liberties or are the police going to be breaking down my door any minute to arrest me to speaking my mind.

                I watch the news on a regular basis, which in this day in age is something that is somewhat of a rarity. I have seen the news outlets flooded with the images of the Polygamist sect of the FLDS having their children taken away from them, and stored like grain inside of a stadium. If a person were to truly look at the sect, the homes, and the people who call the Yearning for Zion ranch home, you would realize that these people are not as evil or barbaric as they have been made out to be. The news has been taking the side of the ridiculous Texas Attorney General over the civil rights of an entire group of people. To go into a place where men, women, and children live, with tanks, 2 SWAT teams, and hundreds of police officers, looking for a woman who made a call asking for help. Yet there has been resent speculation that the call made to the police was not made by a girl named Sarah, but a women outside of the compound, who has a history of making fake phone calls using this persona. I can understand going into the compound looking for Sarah but why were 416 children taken away at the same time. That not only but the children’s parents were never given papers, were never told were their children are, and were told that they had to choose between their children (whom if they didn’t choose they would most likely never see again) or to go back to the ranch. Most went back to the ranch hoping that the government would give them back their children.  Yet I am defend their civil rights, it does not mean I agree with their politics and policies. They may not be “mainstream” or like a so called normal life, but they have the same rights that every human being has. In America we have the right to practice whatever religion that we want. The government has no right to impose their own morals and opinions into the private lives of individuals. I hope that the FLDS sues the Texan government for the vast violations of their civil liberties, and the fact that their children were basically stolen from their parents.

Civil Rights Violation

I do not like when people have their civil rights violated. No matter whom it is they should never have their rights be jepordized. That is why i am so troubled by the current events in Texas with the polygomist sect of FLDS. I understand that people are trying to look out for the best interest of a child, but a phone call that may or not have been from inside of the camp. Their is a person who has been known to make calls to anti-polygomist groups pretending to be a girl named Sarah. In great similarity to the phone call made to the police. Yet even with a phone call being made by one person, that gives no reason for an entire raid on the compound and for 416 children to be taken from their homes with no papers being served to their parents. Is it still true in america that we are innocent until proven guilty or just becuase of a person's religion that their children can be taken away becuase of a possibly fake phone call. I hope that the ACLU gets involved soon becuase this is one of the largest civil rights violations i have seen in America in a long time.

history cannot be forgotten

We as this nation of young people, need to look back at the history of our nation in order to have a nation in the future. I look to the 1960's peace movements. Not the drugs. I believe drugs to be something not nessesary for a life to be meaningful. No i mean that we need to look at how we have a responce to everything that is going around us. Our internest seems to have desencitized us to what we have to do. Having rally and sit ins, is what is need. Instead we seem to be sending letters to senators hoping they will listen to us instead of doing something, that we have control over.

That is what i call people who i believe have de-evolved from being humans. I have no tolerance for ignorance nor for people who redially make themselves seem to be fools. I am sorrounded by them, it seems to be every person that i am encountered, is it that i have a way of attracted them. I need to have baboon repellant, it may be the only way to survive this de-evolving world.

Something is wrong with people

My entire thing something wrong with my generation. With the clothes that seem to have cut off the blod to their brain. For that is the only way that their actions are justified. When someone who is prom table while you are not, and you histerically cry and have to have the uidance councelor come to your rescue, then something is horrifically wrong. I suggest that they stop with the had alochal and drug. For just because it is called nose candy doesnt mean it really is candy.

i dont want to

I do not want to go out to my family, in ill. There is a wedding, but it is a 13 hour drive, if speeding, to get there. We stay two days, then drive back. All i want to do on a weekend is sleep and rest. I work all week trying to keep up with my schoolwork, from when i was sick. The last thing i want to do is have a cross country trip simply because someone doesnt know how to read a birth control pill instructions.

Never again

Never again, shall i have to defend myself, against the ridiculous statements of the most immiture and , forgive my language, the most sluttiest girl i have ever known. My enemy, who' name i shall not say but use an alias of Jane, has resently turned everyone who once were her defenders now find her as disicable as i do. Jane is known for going out with guys and not being good when they look other places for a date. When my friend started to talk to Jane's old boyfriend, mind you with was with jane's approval, jane took the old boyfriend, flirted with him in front of my friend, and apparhently started to make out with him. She did this at church. Now she isnt bein talked to by anyone, and is forgetting about going on any field trips with my friends. It s histerical for me becuase i have been saying i hate her for years, but people just called me mean. Yet it seems i just saw her for who she is, not who she portrayed herself to be.

whats the big idea

Sometimes i just wish that i could verbally harm someone and not have to worry about repercussions. For every once in awhile a person is just to much of a jackass and needs good old fashion ass kickings. Since i do not believe in physical harm it appears that the only way that i can be revenageful is by telling a person off. My words have been my weapon since i was young. I have a reading problem called convergence, were my eyes skip letters, words, sentances, paraegraph, so it was very hard for me to read. Now that i have gotten older i am capable of using my words, but still not to the ablity of my words. Since i have been able to tell anyone off, i am always been capable of telling anyone off with having a comeback or something to force them to shut up. I will always win, but i will never start a verbal fight. I need some type of agigation to make me go off, and that is all i am waiting for some the girl i hate at my school. Just one thing, and she just might cry.

I know that this is suppose to be something that is suppose to be nervous experience, but waiting for the time to come when i pack my things and travl three hours to my college, i dont see it as a nervous experienc were i will cry for mommy, but as i refuage. i have been casted here as something i am not, becuase i had nothing to chane it. I am a person who needs attention but becuase of situtations that happened before, people think i wouldnt be touched that i dont joke, I just need somewhere were i can be the real me, not the me everyone thinks i am.

Why are their so many pot holes in my area

I know that my state is not the richest if them all but there are too many pot holes for someone to explain away. I feel like a sunt driver everytime that i go drivin becuase i am constantly swirwing to miss pot holes becuase i dont want to ruin my tires. But when every single road has very large holes if not complete areas missin, that seems like something to be changed and fixed. Sometimes, i wonder are they spending money on the people or on publists to make it look like they are?
