Just me, Jocelyn, ranting and raving about random things.

I confess....Nov. 14, 2005

ok, I admit it.  I LOVE FALL OUT BOY. ok, I said it, so now we all know.  I do not even understand how I got to this point. But there I was Friday during my lunch hour at Target, just staring at the cd. Dance, Dance on repeat in my brain. This was the band that drove me nuts with "Sugar were going down" all summer. It is not that it is a bad song, I just thought they were one of those "bands", and I could not  understand what the singer was singing, cause his voice is so different then what is playing on the radio it was like one big melody, which I now totally appreciate.

I also have to admit that I watched their concert on MTV last week. I was seriously impressed. I love when a singer can sound the same live as he does in the studio. That means there is real talent. Dude's voice is amazing. Hands down, he is such a huge part to what makes this cd ROCK. oh and the bass player, just amazing.  I also love that on stage, the guitar and bass player are like hyper kids in a candy store. That is so awsome. I still did not want to admit that I loved them so, but if you know me, you know music OWNS me, so therefore I did what I had to do.

I got the cd, put on Dance Dance and let the cd play. As I listened I was reading the words. That is when everything came full circle. If you have the cd, have you ever just read the words in the cover from top to bottom? It is like an amazing rant, or story or both....and I can relate to every word. My mind is pretty much blown. I listened to this cd from 10pm when I got off of work Friday, until 3am. I can't even begin to think of the last time I OD on a cd like this. I think it was last year when saw Josh Groban on PBS. but when I got that cd, I still went to bed a decent hour.

on top of this all, my sister who shares my passion for music fell in love to. so we are like fighting hardcore for this cd, so I am off to Target again today to get her her own.

I just want to say what a breath of fresh air, to get a cd and like EVERY song on it, it was so worth the 14 bucks or whatever it was, and they have their other 2 cd for like 9.99 so it is on. I have a new band, which means concert time. I'm sure I probably missed them in my area. I tend to do that. Fall for a band and the concert in my area is like the next day and I can't go. It happened to me with Avenged 7x, I got the cd on a Tues or something and  the concert was the following Tues. But whatever. I'm just glad to have Fall Out Boy in my life.
