The Patriarchal Project

1. Femes, because theirs is the privilege of childbirth and rearing, without them there is no future
   
2. Children, because theirs is the privilege of being the future
3. Elders, because theirs is the privilege of experience and knowledge for the future
   
4. Males, because theirs is the privilege of belonging and so assure their genes a future... even though, on the whole, they are more trouble than they're worth!
   

When the Project began, males began to brainwash Femes that they needed protection, though, as a rule what we needed protection from were our Protectors!

When the Family was invented, it replaced the Tribe, which had been the commonwealth of small human populations, living from hand to mouth, and for that in dire need of mutual support and equal access to resources.  The Family imposed roles on Femes tha turned them into wo-men.. or wee-men: diminished males, without the physical strength to individually resist the physical assault of their mate, and so condemned to be bullied and exploited.

So too was born "fidelity", that prevented the wo-men from seeking a better mate, if theirs should prove a good-for-nothing, lazy, smelly and emotionally underdeveloped individual.

When the Patriarchal Project finally got established, even the most useless of hunter-gatherer, "omega" males could end-up with worthwhile mates, if they had powerful allies.

The social construct that separated women also denied them their ancient knowledge of water, soil and weather lore, herbs, wild foods, environmental awareness, this, in turn, made them dependent on the males, who appropriated all means of production, prohibiting women from "owning land" (an oxymoron if ever there was one!) and its produce, just as they had imposed a prohibition on our owning our bodies and our progeny.

Gaia's creatures, Her lands, our bodies and our children ALL became the property of males and then they began to war with each other.

Hairy, smelly, petty, litigious bands, intent on strutting into each other's territories, amidst much chest-beating and guttural grunting, pathetic individually, yet strong in numbers.

And Femes bought into the "macho male" myth, allowing themselves to be so co-opted, intimidated, enslaved.  So now rape IS the weapon by which ALL males keep ALL Femes subjugated.

How?  Well, imagine that tomorrow's headlines, instead of reading "woman's body found", with gruesome descriptions of her last, tortured hours at the hand of one or more males, read "male dismembered by Feme crowd, enraged by rape", with an (equally gruesome) description of HIS last few hours, after raping a Feme or a Child, being pursued, found and dragged out into the village square, where mothers, grandmothers and young Femes used all that came to hand to beat, hack, rip open and tear out bits of his flesh, until only bloody jam remained.

How many rapes do you imagine there would follow?  If the Femes hang the bloody scraps around the village, with the legend "this is the fate of all rapists", do you believe there would be ANY rapes in the locality, thereafter?  I strongly doubt it.

This is the logic of the Ape: strength in numbers, so isolate the Femes and they will be the weaker for it.. and they were right.

So now even our Organisations are disparate and fight their wars for them, wee-men of Islam, Christian wee-men, Communist wee-men, Conservative wee-men...  Wee-men for justice, wee-men for environment, wee-men for Development, but no Femes, no communities of powerful Femes, who elect to live together in THEIR world and only admit males who earn their place there.

Not for long, though, for Gaia is the great Leveller, She teaches humility with such intransigence as to have eroded or drowned the deeds of men, 11,000 years ago, between the Ice Ages, men ruled many kingdoms.. and She took them all.

We speak of "killing the Planet"  HA!  We might kill all higher taxa on Her wide face, but She will live on, only we shall be destroyed, never to come back, the Little Ones shall thrive, in Her great Oceans, they will multiply and, little by little, recolonise the world we have sterilised.

No, the Patriarchal Project cannot succeed, for it puts a puny, naked ape above the Great Mother of us all... and that just isn't going to work!  He cannot fathom Her great physiology, only now beginning to realise that he is just a little fleck upon Her great body and that, though he can destroy, he cannot create, in spite of his great brain, he cannot live without his "lesser" siblings and that the virii, fungi, algae and bacteria are the invincible ones, not us.

The Taxonomy of Life is astounding and to the Ancient Ones, we are what we always have been: PROTEIN!
