gosh i finally made it to work! i woke up an extra 30 minutes early knowing that it was gonna be iced over and sure enough it was. the truck had half an inch of ice built up on the windshield. having no ice scraper, it was gonna take it a long time to melt. sure enough, 30 minutes later my winshield was still frozen. didnt wanna be late for work so got some warm water. kinda dngerous cause i was afraid the windshield was gonna crack but it was a chance i was willing to take cause i had to get my ass to work. pulled out into the access road and was taken back by how empty the highway was. normally there would be bumper to bumper traffic but today it was quite deserted. bad news.. no cars means more ice on the roads. crept along at 20 mph all of the way to work. had to get on alot of hills and they were covered with ice as i expected. almost lost control a few times cause the fricken light's at the bottom of the hill. heard on the radio that the schools were closing today and all govt offices were opening at 10 AM. mental note: gonna have to buy me an ice scraper today. lol. at this time there are supposed to be 10 of us in here. only 3 of us were able to make it in on time. dammit i knew i should've come in late also. lol.

 fortunately i had a box of cocoa mix at home so brought it to work with me. its was a lifesaver!. even now my fingers are still numb from the cold. tried scraping off ice using a quarter. lol. doesnt really work for thick ice for those of u that wanna try it. lol. called up baby as soon as i got here. gosh its so nice to hear her voice. been missing her so much these past few days. called it an early night last night cause i was so tired. i think i went to sleep like 12:30 my time. gonna try and get off early today and do some shopping. also have to finish cleaning up the apartment...and yes, i still need a maid. lol.
