well yesterday after a full day of watching football i waited for baby to come online at the usual time. sigh... she had to go in early to the uni so couldn't spend her morning with me. after waiting about an hour and a half i decided that i needed to get outta the crib. this would've made the third weekend straight where i stayed home. cleaned myself up a little and shaved (even though baby said it would be ok if i had my goatee) and proceeded to go grab me some viet noodle soup called "pho". its been over a month since i've eaten it so i ordered the "super bowl". normally i wouldn't be able to finish it but since its been awhile... i tore that bad boy up. i mean u wouldnt even have to wash my bowl cause it was so clean. then i treated myself to an exotic smoothie called "durian drink mix". durian is a pungent fruit that affects people in only 2 ways. its either like the best tasting fruit u ever had, kinda like an aphrodisiac for the senses or the foulest thing u've ever smelled. ahhh... feels good to just have gotten out and hang out with other asians. called up some homies and pretty much gave them the guilt treatment in hanging out with me. lol. headed out to 6th street again. sunday night and still the party district was still kickin. it felt like a friday or saturday night cause so many ppl were out and about. did the usual bar hopping downing jello shots and shiet. pretty much stayed away from the dreaded redbull and vodka's. just pretty much stuck to rum and cokes. i think we hit like 10 bars until it was time for last call. thankfully i was responsible and pretty much knew when to stop before i really did too much like the last time i was out. after saying our goodbyes, i headed out to the footbridge which stretched across the colorado river. even though i had to go to work in a couple of hours... it felt good gazing up into the stars and just thinking about my baby for a little while. its amazing to think that if she looks up, we are looking at the same stars. even though we are far apart, she's always with me in my heart.

What is a durian?      Well...simply put, Durian is a fruit: a big, green thorny fruit. But wait, it is not just another exotic and expensive fruit from South East Asia. In fact, it is considered "King of the Fruit" throughout the region. Personally, I think that is an understatement of the millenium since we Asian are humble people. In fact, the actual status of Durian is "THE GOD OF ALL FRUIT!". No kidding! Yeah, yeah, I know, some (unadventurous) people would rather die than to smell the STINK of a durian. Heck, a few countries even BAN the presence of durian in selected public spots due to its offensive smell (that, to me, is a hopeless rule just like outlawing fart, when we know that it is such a pleasure and EVERYBODY secretly doing it!).
